Nomra eSIM on Other Android

Follow the phases below on your Other Android: add the eSIM profile, turn on roaming for the Nomra line, confirm you have real data (not just an installed profile), then fix scanning or network issues. Use Wi-Fi when installing when possible.

Please read

  • Do not delete your eSIM unless Nomra support asks you to.
  • Do not pay again if your payment already succeeded—contact support first.
  • Install on the phone you intend to travel with.
  • Most eSIMs can only be installed once.
  • Use Wi-Fi during installation when possible.
  • Do not delete your eSIM while fixing roaming—unless support tells you to.
  • Use Wi-Fi when changing settings if your main line has no data.
  • You are not “connected” until your phone shows service and data works for the Nomra line.
  • Most eSIMs can only be installed once—do not experiment on the wrong device.
  • Do not delete an installed eSIM unless support asks.
  • Install on the phone you will use; most eSIMs install only once.
  • Use Wi-Fi while troubleshooting installation.
  • Do not delete an existing Nomra eSIM unless support asks.
  • Do not delete the eSIM while troubleshooting unless support asks.
  • Enable data roaming on the Nomra line before assuming the plan is faulty.
  • Roaming and manual network steps differ slightly by device—use the paths below.

Install

Open the add eSIM screen

Settings path

Settings vary by manufacturer. Search Settings for: eSIM · SIM manager · Mobile network · Add network

  • Try the search bar at the top of the Settings app first.
  • Look under Network & internet, Connections, or Mobile network depending on your brand.
  • If you cannot find an eSIM option, your phone may not support eSIM or it may be locked.

Where to enter manual details

Settings path

Search Settings for: eSIM · Add mobile plan · SM-DP · Activation code · SIM manager

  • Open the add-plan flow for your eSIM line, then choose manual entry if offered.
  • If you only see QR scan, try another device or contact support.

Activate

Other Android

Settings path

Search Settings for: eSIM · SIM manager · Mobile network · Data roaming · Roaming

  • Open the screen that lists your SIMs or eSIMs, then select Nomra.
  • Turn on Mobile data and Data roaming for that line.
  • Manufacturer labels differ; use the search bar inside Settings if menus do not match.

Connect

Connect: know when you are really online

Common mistake

Very common: “It says installed” but nothing loads. Usually one of these is still wrong:

  • Data roaming is off on the Nomra line specifically
  • Mobile data is still assigned to your home SIM
  • The Nomra line is disabled or not selected for data
  • You are not yet in a covered area or the phone has not registered on a network

Tip

Install ≠ connected. You need the Nomra line on, data roaming on for that line, mobile data set to Nomra when you want to use it, and signal in a covered country.

Important

Do not delete the eSIM profile while trying to fix connection issues—unless Nomra support tells you to.

You are connected when you see signal bars, a carrier or network name on the Nomra line, and websites or apps load over mobile data. If settings look right but nothing loads, toggle airplane mode for 20 seconds, restart once, then use the troubleshooting steps below.

Troubleshoot

Try these first

Common mistake

If the profile installed but you still have no data, the QR scan was only step one—you still need roaming and the right data SIM selected.

  • Scanning from a random QR app instead of Settings → add eSIM
  • A cropped or dim QR on the same screen the camera is reading from
  • Expecting instant data before the Nomra line is on and roaming is enabled in destination
Illustration for Try these first
  • Increase screen brightness on the device showing the QR code.
  • Zoom out so the full QR code and quiet zone are visible.
  • Clean the camera lens; avoid glare and reflections.
  • Start the scan from Settings → add eSIM, not from a generic QR scanner app unless your OEM requires it.

Open the correct add eSIM flow

Settings path

Search Settings for: eSIM · SIM manager · Mobile network · Add network · Network operators

If the QR code is on the same phone

Use manual installation. Open the manual installation guide and enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code from your Nomra eSIM details.

When to contact support

  • Your phone says the code is invalid.
  • Your phone says the eSIM is already used.
  • The Nomra app does not show QR or manual installation details after purchase.

Basic checks (all devices)

  • Confirm you are in a country covered by your plan.
  • Turn the Nomra eSIM line on.
  • Set mobile data to the Nomra eSIM line.
  • Enable data roaming for the Nomra eSIM.
  • Toggle airplane mode on for 20 seconds, then off.
  • Restart your phone.

Dual SIM, hotspot, and APN

Tip

These settings rarely fix a total outage, but they explain common “it works on my phone but not on my laptop” situations.

  • Dual SIM: keep your home SIM for calls and SMS if you want, and set mobile data to the Nomra line while you travel.
  • Personal hotspot may be disabled by some travel plans or partner networks—if phone data works but hotspot does not, check your plan or ask support.
  • Manual APN is rarely needed; only enter values support gives you—wrong APNs can block data entirely.

Can’t find the menu? Use Settings search

Settings path

Search Settings for: eSIM · SIM manager · Mobile network · Data roaming · Roaming · APN · Network operators · Add mobile plan · Add network

Tip

Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, and other skins rename items constantly—the in-app search field is often faster than hunting through every submenu.

  • Open Settings and tap the search bar at the top (magnifying glass on some phones).
  • Try one keyword at a time if results are overwhelming.
  • If eSIM never appears, confirm the device supports eSIM and is not locked to a carrier that blocks it.

Manual network selection

Settings path

Search Settings for: Network operators · Mobile network · Choose network · APN · Roaming

  • Turn off automatic network selection if you see it, then pick a carrier manually.
  • Try one network at a time; revert to automatic when done.
  • APN changes are rarely needed for travel eSIMs—only adjust if support provides values.

Ask support to check

If data still fails, contact support with your country, phone model, screenshots of the Nomra line settings, and any error message. Do not delete the eSIM while support reviews it.
