eSIM support
Install your Nomra eSIM
Install your eSIM while you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. Installation adds the eSIM profile to your phone. Your line is only truly working when your phone shows signal, a carrier name, and data activity in the destination— not when the profile is merely installed.
Please read
- Do not delete your eSIM unless Nomra support asks you to.
- Do not pay again if your payment already succeeded—contact support first.
- Install on the phone you intend to travel with.
- Most eSIMs can only be installed once.
- Use Wi-Fi during installation when possible.
Before you start
- Confirm your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked.
- Connect to Wi-Fi or reliable mobile data before starting.
- Keep the Nomra app open so you can access your QR code or installation details.
- Label the line clearly (for example “Nomra Travel”) so you can find it in settings later.
- On Android, if you cannot find “eSIM” or “SIM manager”, use Settings search—see the network troubleshooting guide for keyword ideas.
Install with the QR code
Settings path
Open Nomra → your eSIM → then on the phone: Settings → add eSIM (path varies; use the device tabs below).
Tip
Start from your phone’s Settings app → add eSIM flow—not a random QR scanner—unless your manufacturer requires otherwise.
- Open the eSIM details in the Nomra app.
- On your phone, open the cellular or mobile network settings and choose to add an eSIM.
- Scan the QR code shown in the app, then follow your device prompts.
- Keep your primary SIM for calls and messages if you still need it.
After installation
Common mistake
People often install the eSIM successfully, then assume data should work immediately. Usually they still need to:
- Turn the Nomra line on in Settings
- Choose the Nomra eSIM for mobile data when you want to use that plan
- Enable data roaming on the Nomra line (not only on the home SIM)
- Be in a covered destination with signal—Wi-Fi at home does not prove the travel line works
Important
Seeing the eSIM in Settings does not mean you are online yet. You still need the line on, roaming enabled, and signal in destination.
When you arrive in a covered destination, turn on the Nomra eSIM line and enable data roaming for that line. If your phone shows no service, use the roaming and network troubleshooting guides. Only consider data “working” when your device shows service and you can use the internet—not only when the profile appears in settings.
